OZCF Community Table at Market Day

January 24, 2014 By:
  1. Oranjezicht City Farm Market  is definitely one of our favourites on the Cape Markets calendar. It’s fresh, it’s located on a beautiful urban farm (with an uber-view) and it’s very friendly.

And market organisers are always innovating. Last year, the market introduced a Kids Market Day, where budding entrepreneurs were encouraged to try their hands at making and selling their own wares (a great way to earn some pocket money and hone some skills).

And this year the market has launched the OZCF Community Table at Market Day every Saturday (9am to 2pm).

What is a community table?

We have set aside a subsidised space each week for people who are growing and or making healthy to eat things themselves, or for groups involved in education and outreach about issues important to where we live.

In keeping with our market mandate we are dedicated to working with non-profit groups whose focus is on Agriculture, Food Security, Community Health, Community Economic Development, and/or Environmental Issues in CT.

If you are keen to be represented, let us know on FB or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

We love it – what a great idea! So, if you’re a budding farmer, and have excess produce to share, get in touch with organisers – and join the urban farming community.
